The older one doesn't like to be left alone, so he helps put the baby down for a nap. (There's less crying this way). I feed the baby, I make the snacks, and when the occasional babysitter arrives, I make these videos.

Working across photography, video, text and sound, I primarily work in the space of experimental video poetry. Obsessively recording, I collage found sound with overheard text with photographic and video images. Inspired by Russian surrealism and Latin American Magical Realism (and domestic realities), I use my comparative literature background to intimate futuristic narrative structures. The dissonance created between opposing visuals and text creates a friction--a liminal space set to explore phenomena.
